former boss: Anne! Are you working now?
moi: Yes, Sir. I'm connected with ___ since March.
former boss: Really? That's good for you!
moi: Thank you Sir. Napatawag po kayo?
former boss: I thought of you. Will you be interested to join (company mentioned)? Yung good friend ko kasi needs a sales assistant. Done deal na. Pag pumayag ka. Basically yung job tulad din nung sayo dati. You'll be receiving (salary mentioned). Would that interest you?
moi: Really? Tempting Sir. But I'm receiving ___ now. Baka pwede nila pantayan Sir. (chuckles)
former boss: (chuckles) Sige, I'll call you again. Pero kuripot ang company na yun. I'll let you know.
after a while cellphone rings again...
moi: Sir!
former boss: Sabi ko na sayo e. Kuripot nga. Don't worry, I'll let you know if ever there are opportunities like this again.
moi: Thank you Sir. Touched na po ako that you considered me for the position. Ikaw Sir? Saan ka na po connected ngayon?
former boss: No work yet. But I might join ____ next year.
moi: wOw! Goodluck Sir. Hopefully matuloy.
former boss: Oo nga. Hopefully matuloy.
moi: Thank you ulit Sir. Goodluck po.
former boss: Thanks din Anne. Bye.
moi: Bye Sir.
That was, obviously, the conversation that took place between my former boss and me. It just feels good. Rewarding feeling.
