Bus Ride

Dax

It's been ages since I've ridden a bus. Today, in a spurn of the moment my mother wanted to go to the mall and buy some stuff for the package. (It was early morning!) But then when we went out, the car was gone. Jhe went somewhere without telling us. Ma said that we'll just take the bus. And so we did.

Waiting time was only 10mins, not bad. (We missed the first one because Ma's on the phone and won't cross the street). So anyway, I've noticed some changes. First I've noticed the flat screen tv. It's not the regular tv where you can watch some tv programs though. It's mostly advertisements, the weather, some news, and some trivias. Then, there's the signboards where it shows the date and time. There's also the automated announcements, where it announces the bus stop and the next. So you would know where you are. While it announces the place, it is also on the signboard. When you hit the stop button, it announces it too and passengers are asked to exit on the rear. Clever, for most of the passengers goes to the front. It will save time if they exit on the rear, so new passengers can aboard the bus. And there's still the camera. I've noticed there's two, one near the driver and one near the exit. Meron ding small tv on the driver side, it is use to see the right side of the bus. I dunno what the purpose though, if its to see when they are changing lanes or to see if some are going in on the rear, hahaha. I think it is a great help also because the driver can see clearly especially at night time. I used to go home late from school before and I always look on that small screen. It was weird because on the screen it looked like it was daytime. so anyway...

Buti na lang it's a short trip. I got annoyed of the announcements.... approaching Brand St. next stop Central.... Stop requested. Please exit on the rear.... approaching.... stop... hay naku!

Sweet is the memory of distant friends! Like the mellow rays of the departing sun, it falls tenderly, yet sadly, on the heart.
